config_vars.mk

Postby perplexes » Fri Feb 23, 2007 7:30 am

MAMP is great. But. Since you don't compile php with openssl, I'm forced to build it myself.

Please send me the config_vars.mk that you neglected to include in the most recent version of MAMP. Building apache2 modules (which rely on apxs) is impossible without it.

Thanks in advance!

I am having the same problem with the missing config_vars.mk but while trying to build my own mod_python.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I resolved this by installing another copy of the same version of Apache in another folder, then moving the compiled "build" folder into the "MAMP/library/" folder ;)

can you share detailed instructions on how to recompile imap with ssl enabled.

I am an admin noob but really need this to work for my app to function.

Thanks,
Chris

Well, personally I have found MAMP to be very useful in many regards. The only thing that I would like to see them do again is to integrate the config_vars.mk that they have neglected in the recent versions of MAMP. I have found that I could not build Apache 2 modules without the config_vars.mk since the Apache 2 modules rely on APXS. PHP compiling is also yet another problem as they have excluded the config_vars.mk!

I am having the same issue. I am unable to compile PHP without this file. Can you please mention how to include the contents of config_vars.mk into my file? I am a novice user so I am not able to do this myself easily.
