[perplexes]

MAMP is great. But. Since you don't compile php with openssl, I'm forced to build it myself.

Please send me the config_vars.mk that you neglected to include in the most recent version of MAMP. Building apache2 modules (which rely on apxs) is impossible without it.

I resolved this by installing another copy of the same version of Apache in another folder, then moving the compiled "build" folder into the "MAMP/library/" folder

can you share detailed instructions on how to recompile imap with ssl enabled.

I am an admin noob but really need this to work for my app to function.
